Research
Towards a Beyond “Zero-Carbon” society, this project sets up the following 3 targets, under which specific research themes are proposed.
T1 is tasked with developing, designing, and implementing soft- and hardware systems for diverse stakeholders to co-learn, co-create, and co-design to achieve a prosperous future for the region. It also aims to promote the exchange of human resources between the public, private, and academic sectors and create and perform educational and training programs related to capacity building to proactively establish a vision for the future through a design-oriented approach.
T2 aims to structure the bases for integrating knowledge and information to help the region choose the best available technologies and systems to meet its needs. They will be consolidated into one Co-JUNKAN mechanism to be accessible to all.
T3 focuses on devising and verifying technology systems for Beyond “Zero- Carbon,” such as regional transport and energy systems, GX in agriculture and forestry, and energy supply-demand structures, clarifying the enabling conditions for social implementation.
