Theme 5 research team organized a briefing session for local residents in Tanegashima to introduce biofuel manufacturing pilot project. This pilot project amis to contribute not only to the global environment but also to the enhancement of local industries by producing high-value-added products from local biomass resources. Through the interactive discussion, which included a sample product presentation and Q&A session, the community fully grasped the significance of this project. They provided positive feedback to the research team. The research team will proceed this pilot project in close collaboration with the local community, private enterprises, and researchers.
