Prof. Hideaki Shiromaya of Graduate School of Public Policy/Graduate Schools for Law an Politics/Institute for Future Initiatives, The University of Tokyo, visited Tanegashima to take stock of progress of the research there under Research Theme 5 (GX in agriculture & forestry) and 6 (heat & power). The visit was coordinated and supported by the Shinko Sugar Mill Co., Ltd. and National Agriculture and Food Research Organization. Fascinated by the Tanegashima's nature and culture, he appreciated discussions with the project partners, including nexus between other research themes for enhanced synergy.
